The Russian Federal Tax Service in 2020 collected more than 28 trillion rubles ($379.11 bln) to budgets of all levels, the Federal Tax Service said in a press release published on Wednesday.
"The tasks that we formed together to fill the budget have been completed: more than 28 trillion rubles were collected in the budgets of all levels. During this difficult period, the Federal Tax Service of Russia ensured creation of a blockchain platform to support business - concessional lending," the statement said.
Tax revenues to the Russian consolidated budget in 2020 decreased by 7.6 to 21 trillion rubles ($284.33 bln). "2020 has not only changed the usual life, but also influenced tax revenues. The Russian consolidated budget received 21.01 trillion rubles, which is 7.6% less than 2019," the service said.
According to Head of the Federal Tax Service Daniil Egorov, it was possible to achieve such results, despite a difficult year in economic terms, primarily thanks to the analytical tools and control systems of the service.
